Oren Moverman's film, about two Army men whose job it is to inform next of kin of their loved ones' war deaths, has its failings, but Woody Harrelson is superb. In a reprieve from his wild-man roles in Zombieland and 2012, he invests his grizzled-veteran soldier with black humor and a world of pain.
